Assessing Employer Quality

In many organizations, the focus of human resources efforts is on recruiting new staff and retaining existing employees. Fundamental to success in this area is a precise understanding of how the organization is perceived and how the company culture is experienced in practice.

Based on our analyses, we provide our clients with valuable insights into their attractiveness as an employer, the further development of their organization, and effective employer branding.

Hamburg's Best Employers

The competition for qualified employees remains intense in operational HR work. Therefore, it is crucial for companies to position themselves as attractive employers. Against this backdrop, we have been recognizing „Hamburg’s Best Employers“ for over 10 years.

Companies honored based on employee surveys can score points with applicants, their own employees, and customers. Furthermore, the scientific feedback provides valuable insights for improving HR practices. We manage the entire process, from initial contact with interested companies and the methodologically sound implementation and analysis of the surveys to the eventual awarding of the prize.

Hamburg's Best Training Companies

The award is based on surveys of trainees and training managers from participating companies. Firstly, questions are asked about their personal satisfaction with their training company. Secondly, important objective criteria are also gathered that, measured against generally accepted standards, represent a good training company. We are responsible for the entire process, from initial contact with interested companies and the methodologically sound implementation and analysis of the surveys to the potential awarding of the prize.

Excellent Employer

Being a good employer is valuable in itself. However, this only unfolds its full potential for recruitment marketing when potential applicants are aware of it. The „Excellent Employer“ award effectively helps increase visibility. In surveying employees and managers of companies applying for the „Excellent Employer“ award, we focus on a total of 16 factors of employer attractiveness. This reflects fundamental assessments in precisely those areas where employers differ significantly in their appeal. We present the „Excellent Employer“ award annually in various regions across Germany. From Hamburg and the surrounding regions, we manage all related processes and are responsible for everything related to the „Excellent Employer“ award.

Appreciative Leadership

Health is not merely the absence of illness, but the result of a continuous process of mindfulness and balance – both in private life and in everyday professional situations. The more appreciative leadership is perceived, the less frequently employees are ill. Numerous studies repeatedly and impressively demonstrate this. Together with the company Health-B (Hamburg), we can make valid statements, based on an employee survey, about how appreciative leadership is perceived to be within an organization or organizational unit.

Individual surveys

For some companies, it’s beneficial to assess and evaluate their attractiveness as an employer even without an official classification. We offer various solutions for this purpose, similar in nature to a traditional employee survey. However, these solutions capture specific information related to the company as an attractive employer. While this approach may seem limited at first glance, it proves advantageous upon closer inspection: Clients who opt for a customized survey benefit from the extensive benchmark data we’ve accumulated over the years through various regional and national awards.

On-site analyses

Interested companies can have their attractiveness as an employer assessed through an audit: In which areas is their performance as an employer outstanding? Which areas are within the norm? Where are there potential areas for improvement? The audit evaluates aspects such as corporate culture, family-friendliness, gender equality, health management, talent development, managing demographic change, innovation culture, and training and professional development. The specific areas to be emphasized, the on-site procedures, and the estimated duration of the visit are all agreed upon beforehand. The audit results are then discussed with the responsible parties, who decide how to proceed with the findings.
